Tuesday 9/20 (Day 1) - Bark Door Decoration Contest
Make a plan
Decide as a class what component of BARK your homeroom door decor will celebrate.
Sketch and draft a vision of the door decor
Identify other materials you will need to decorate your room (be creative, think of basic recycling materials students can bring in to create an amazing design - paper towel rolls, plastic containers, scrap paper, yarn or fabric remnants, old craft supplies).
Criteria:
Depth of Messaging (Why is BARK important to in our lives at home and at school?)
Artistic quality (appealing & detailed)
Winners:
HR wins grade level BARK trophy for HR.
HR creates a playlist of passing-time music for the day.
HR teachers get coffee cards!
Door Decorating Rules:
Do not use materials that will damage the school doors, walls, or floors.
No nails, tacks, or staples may be put into the doors and all adhesives used must be fully removable.
Door handles MUST remain visible and operational. Classroom/door decorations may not impede the usage of the door, compromise ADA compliance, or pose a safety hazard.
No glitter, confetti, or other small particulate items may be used.
Nothing that makes noise or requires the use of electricity may be used. (battery lights are permitted)
Each student must contribute to the final product.
Begin your door decorating project.
Use the basic paper supplied by the school for the foundation of your door decor.
Tuesday 9/27 (Day 5) - Complete decorating.
Complete your door decorating today.
