ANIMAL EYES- in Different Media
PART 1 - Pencil
1. Students will complete animal Eye Drawing using pencils or a black sharpie.
2. Students will investigate a variety of animal eyes and choose an interesting animal eye from the Internet. They will then sketch their chosen eye in the sketchbook in color or B/W.

Options:
Black and White:
1. With a pencil sketch on sketchbook paper, students will accurately draw their animal eye using their B/W photo as a reference.
2. Students will begin to shade/add value to their animal eye line drawing.
3. Students will focus on creating a range of
4-6 values and building contrast when shading their animal eyes.
4. Students can use Sharpies to add textures
Colored Pencil
1. Students will accurately draw their animal eyes using online photos as a reference, starting with a pencil sketch on a sketchbook paper.
2. Students will lighten pencil lines on their contour line drawing and then begin adding color and value to the animal eye.
3. Students will focus on developing value and color matching when adding color to their animal eyes.
